HP Firmware Update Blocks Use Of Non Genuine/Compatible Inks For Some Printer Models

19/9/2016

If you were using unofficial replacement cartridges for your HP printer or MFP and it suddenly stopped working after a firmware update then chances are it is because the type of printer cartridge your using has been blocked by the printer. Originally it was thought to have only affected the following printers:

1. HP OFFICEJET PRO 8610
2. HP OFFICEJET PRO 8615
3. HP OFFICEJET PRO 8620
4. HP OFFICEJET PRO 8625
5. HP OFFICEJET PRO 8630

However recently we have heard it has affected many more HP models. If you are having problems with errors to due with the cartridge and the machine was working previous to the update please try genuine ink cartridges before wasting money on a service call out charge. If you would like to speak with someone about your issue you can call our office located in Brisbane on (07) 3096 0366.

HP Buys Samsung Printer/Copier/MFD Division

15/9/2016

In a bold move that has surprised many in the printer & copier industry HP has agreed to purchase The Samsung Print Division for $1.05 Billion. On the same day news of the purchase came to light HP released a large amount of new printer & copier products, many of these printers & photocopiers are already using Samsung technology. This move will surely see HP taking advantage of the many patents Samsung holds for printers and it's hardware technology. Neither HP or Samsung are big players in the large A3 printer copier segment but based on this business decision we imagine HP is looking to stake it's claim.

Pro Printer Repairs Brisbane has the knowledge to keep your Samsung or HP running smoothly and also if you require any further information on the purchase and how it affects our local Hp & Samsung users please feel free to call our Brisbane office located in Spring Hill.
